We wish we don't need insurance but we must get ourselves prepared.

一：50万存银行，得大病花50万，你的存款等于零。

You save 500k in bank. When you get sick and spent 500k. Your savings then become 0.

二：40万存银行，10万买大病险(保额100万)，得大病得到赔付100万，花50万，还剩50万，加上银行40万，你的存款等于90万。

You save 40k in bank and 10k at insurance / savings (coverage 100k). When you get sick you got paid 100k lump sum and after you spent 50k on the bill, you left 50k. With the other 40k existing in your bank, you get total savings 90k.

结论：

没有保险，我们为医院打工。

有了保险，保险公司为我们打工!

In conclusion if we have no insurance / savings, we are working for the hospital. When we have an insurance, the insurance company works on behalf of us.
